On loving being one of very few white people in the hood.

Just came home from buying cleaning products from Home Depot to be greeted enthusiastically by the group of skinny old black people who hang out at the end of the street. The men have very few teeth and the ladies have very thin legs and head scarves. They look out for me and the one fat guy always has some sort of comment on my bike or what I’m carrying- tonight it was bog roll. I feel part of the community although they have yet to invite me to play dominoes and I have no idea of their names….
